Where Are They Now? — Timo Brimhall

I must say, it's hard to believe that time has gone by so fast. Well, let me fill you in on what has happened over the past twenty years. I was one of the younger ones in the class of 88' so I was able to get in a year at BYU before I went on my mission. During that time I got to hang out with Ben Rand playing sand volley ball and some jam ball. I served in the Spain Seville mission and I loved it. I had great experiences, and met a lot of great people. And coincidently there were several familiar faces there also. John Wright, Willie Hamilton and Hema Heimuli all served in the same mission and it was great to see them out in the field. I loved the culture and the food. Unfortunately I haven't been able to return, but that is still in the works. After my mission I returned to my studies at BYU. I studied international relations and business, I even had a class with Wendi Holley. I met my wife Sara, an Orem Tiger, at a BYU stake dance in a parking lot, I know very romantic. About a year later, and some convincing on my part, we were married in the Bountiful temple in May of 1995. As a result we have five wonderful kids. Our kids are the following: Matt (10yrs), Savannah (7yrs), Micah (3yrs), Grace (2yrs) and Lydia (5mos). Sara is a stay at home mom and does such a great job keeping our crazy household running. I love being a Dad and hanging out with my kids. I really enjoy watching Matt play sports, especially football.

After BYU I was planning to get an international MBA at Thunderbird University in Glendale Arizona, everything was lined up, but I never went. I had a neighbor who started his own company doing design and multimedia. Design and computers was my first love, so I took the opportunity he gave me to learn and intern at his company. From there it is history, I am currently working for a small company in SLC as a User Interface Designer and I love my job. A few of the companies I worked for are Home Financial Network, Novell, WhizBang Labs/Flipdog.com and currently eReinsure. Sara likes to call me a computer nerd…but I can take whatever she dishes out. We have stayed here in Utah and have lived in Provo, Spanish Fork, Springville, SLC and we currently live in Lehi.

I like to do all kinds of things, from the nerdy side all the way to the active side of the spectrum. I like to play video games and mess around on the computer, but I love playing golf (last year I got to play in the Lake Tahoe Celebrity Golf Tournament), mountain biking, skiing and swimming. While we were dating Sara and I ran the St. George marathon. Life has had some surprises but I can't complain.

It will be fun to see everyone again!

Timo,

I worked with Your bro. Jaime in the DirXML group at Novell for some time. He filled me in on your life. It's good to see that it was all true.

TIMOTEO!!!

How are you doing, man??? You look exactly the same, except you got a bit more flava around the edges. Do you remember shooting some hoops in your driveway after elementary school? You had a hook shot that put Kareem to shame!

What cute kids! Hey Timo- I gotta tell ya, you were one of my favorites in high school. I can't remember which classes we had together but I know we had a few and you were someone that I would seek out. I think it's great that you've been able to do what makes you happy! Since you're in Lehi, no excuses, you better be at the reunion!
