Where Are They Now? — Kyle Dalley

I spent a lot of time trying to think up something clever to post, but I never came up with anything. I was going to send in a picture of my family dressed-up like pirates, but noticed Kenneth Nelson already did that. Then I thought about loosing some weight before I had pictures taken and posted, but that turned out to require too much work and was not nearly as much fun as eating. So, I decided the best thing to do (meaning easiest for me) was to provide a FAQ (Frequently Asked Question) summary of my life since graduation in 1988.

Q: What did you do after you graduated from PHS?
A: I moved to Boston with Eliott Spencer and his family where I worked in a “Sporting Goods” store as an assistant to a bookie.

Q: Did you go on a mission?
A: Yes, I served in the Utah Ogden Mission. (Yes, really.)

Q: Are you married?
A: Yes, I married Kelli Coombs from Arizona in 1992.

Q: Do you have any kids?
A: Yes, two boys and two girls:
DJ–14, Ryan–12, Kate–8, & Megan–6

Q: Did you go to college?
A: Yes, I graduated from BYU in 1996 and then attended ASU 2000 – 2002.

Q: Where do you live?
A: We lived in Provo until the spring of 2000 when we moved to Chandler, Arizona. We now live in Gilbert, Arizona.

Q: What do you do for a living?
A: I’m a Portfolio Manager for Wells Fargo (downtown Phoenix). I manage investment portfolios for institutions (primarily corporate retirement plans).

Q: What do you enjoy doing with in your spare time?
A: When I’m not working I spend 99% of my time hanging out with my wife and kids. We enjoy anything outdoors (as long as it’s not hot), camping, spending time at my wife’s family’s cabin in the White Mountains (eastern Arizona where it’s not as hot), going on family vacations (anywhere it’s not too hot), but too be honest we probably spend most of our time together watching TV and eating.

Q: Do you see any classmates from your days at PHS?
A: Yes, here’s a brief list (sorry if I’ve left anyone out):

• I go backpacking every other summer with Bob, Eliott & Wes Spencer, Ken Nelson and Dan Ririe.
• Ken Nelson lives about four miles from me down here in Arizona. We usually see him and his family for the annual BYU football bowl game.
• When I go back to Provo to visit my family I usually run into Jim Blair.
• Greg Stott and I worked at JPMorgan in Scottsdale, Arizona for a couple of years.
• We lived right around the corner from Jim and Melissa Kendall and their family in the “Tree Streets” during the late 90’s.
• Tim Strong also lives in Gilbert and I’ve seen him a few times.
