Where Are They Now? — Lori Hayes (Hartley)

Wow I can not believe it has been 20 years since graduation.

What I have been up to since graduation: Well I married Brian Hartley (PHS '87) in '89. We had our 1 and only child Zac in '92 and he is now 15 almost 16.

I work for Marriott Hotels doing accounting. Those of you who really knew me then would never imagine me doing accounting especially since I got a D in accounting in high school. I have been working at the Provo Marriott for almost 9 years and go around to other Marriott's and train others when needed. My husband, myself and our son also run our own landscaping business. I do the books, and they do everything else.

In our spare time we are greatly involved in Trap Shooting. Both my husband and son compete all over the states. My son is even on what they call the ATA (Amateur Trapshooting Association) National Sub Junior Team & is ranked in the top 15. We are at competitions most every weekend Feb - Sept. Between work and shooting we like to hunt and camp.

We have been living in Payson for the past 10 years and really love it here.

It has been fun looking at all the updates everyone has put in & I just might actually try to make it to this reunion.

Lori it was great to read about your life. If you ever come to a Marriott in the Ohio area (if there are any) we'll have to meet up! I'm not surprised to read how active you are in the great outdoors and you haven't changed a bit!

Lori, I can not beleive you are still with Brian. It was crazy the way you guys met. I am laughing about the accounting job, I would have never guessed. - Jamie
Jamie I thought you would get the biggest kick out of my accounting job more than anyone else. I actually ran into our accounting teacher and asked her if she remembered me. I told her who I had the class with and she for sure remembered you right away and then could not believe herself that I have been doing accounting since about 1990. I have done jobs in AR AP and Payroll. Love AR the most. What can I say I like handling money.

I know we had a class together but my focus never was schoolwork and I cant remember what it was, but, you were always cheerful and nice to the "new kid" and you always had a smile on your face.thanks. great to hear you are doing so well. Were you in German? maybe that was it? who knows?
Clark
It was German, and possibly another class or two. I remember you quite well.

Lori!!

Just saw your comment to me! I don't know about "keeping me in line" you know me!!

It has been a long time since I have seen you or Brian! I think the last time I saw you, you were working at Modern Shoe.........how long ago was that??? I haven't seen Brian since I quit working for the school district and I heard he left Provo City to build his (your) business. I'm glad that it is going well......I may need some assistance, my wife has GREAT IDEAS for back yard landscaping!!!

It's great to hear from you! You haven't changed a bit! Wish I could say the same!! I miss my hair!

Brian
Well that had to have been at least 12 years ago. Time sure does fly. By the way the family photo was about 5 years ago. So I would say I have now changed just a little more. Thank goodness for hair dye. I guess that would not even help you. haha. Just kidding.

Lori! I have to agree with Clark, you have always had a smile on your face! It was always very easy to talk with you and enjoy your company!

I think I worked with Brian's mom when I was in High School.

Lori,

It was good to read what you have been up to. It sounds like your family has a lot of fun.
I remember you and your blue jean jacket. When I visualize you in my mind, you have that jacket on.
Remember the good old days of girls camp?
It will be fun to see you again at the reunion.
I do remember my blue jean jacket.
I have other obligations and will not make it to the reunion. Hope you all have fun though.
