Where Are They Now? — Candice Cuell (Young)

What up? So after H.S. I graduated from UVCC or whatever it’s called now, worked 5 jobs (all at the same time) and water or snow skied a lot. My friend Tess (Reynolds) was kinda going out with this guy named Michael Young and when Tess left on her mission, he called me. About 5 months later Michael and I where married. We have 2 great kids, Brae (11) and Brooke (4). (Yes, Tess and I are still friends.)

Mike is the King of Nerds and teaches future nerds at Mountainland College. He’s a great “Technology Instructor” and loves what he does. He’s super smart and a former PHSer from ’85. I pretend to run my own business. I train horses and people. I’m really good at the horses/people part, not so much the business end. I’ve taken several kids to Arabian Youth Nationals but mostly stay local and specialize in youth and amateur riders.

We have lived in Pleasant Grove for 13 years. We recently upsized and built a new home right behind our old one. I’m a total failure as a domestic goddess but I’m okay with that. When I’m home, I like to spend time with my family and do a whole lot of nothing. We eat out and go to movies and in the summer you will find me at the pool, then the snow shack.

I’m looking forward to seeing you at the reunion. Go Bulldogs!

Hey Candice--your family is beautiful and I loved seeing the picture of you and all of the Grandview Gals! How is it that you look exactly the same?? Congratulations on all you've accomplished.

I agree, how is it that you haven't changed a bit?? I love your infectious smile and for some reason I remember your laugh. You were one of my favorites. I think it's so cool that you guys all stay in touch. I have been looking for Tess since the 10 year reunion. She gave me her address while she and Jared were back east and I lost it so I hope she's coming too. I will look for you at the reunion!

Candice:

I don't remember you being a cow chick! You would probably get along great with my wife. She wore a huge belt buckle on our first date and we went "swingin" where she taught me the "toosh push". After that we went to dinner sat next to Alabama (The group) and then went to their concert. After that date I was strangely attracted to her for some reason. Your family looks awesome. So good to hear about your successes.

Candice,

It was so fun to see your pictures. I just remember what a fun person you were in Junior HIgh and High School.
You have that same smile.
Best,
Lois Decker (Brown)

OK, Candice, I am coming to the reunion, in big part because I saw you at the Strawberry Days Carnival. You will have to ask me the story later, but its ALL YOUR FAULT!! Thanks for all of the fun memories from phs!
