Where Are They Now? — Kristie Cloward (Kapp)

Hey Everyone,

It's been fun reading about some of you. After graduation I went to Weber State to get a bachelor's in Dental Hygiene. I married Tim Kapp of PHS class of '87 in 1990 just a few months after he returned home from his mission. Clark Bayles came to our reception the day HE returned home from his mission. We were so flattered Clark!

I worked as a Dental Hygienist one to two days a week for 15 years. A year and a half ago I started my own Dental Consulting Business. I travel around the country about once a month to consult different Dental Offices or to Lecture at Seminars. I really love it. The rest of my time is spent being a mom and playing tennis.

Tim got his MBA and has worked for different companies over the years. The last several years he and Todd Esplin from PHS '87 have had their own business consulting firm. He helps me with my business in his spare time. Our Other friend from PHS '87,Trenton Halladay, as many of you remeber past away almost two years ago, We miss him

We have four kids: Cameron who's 15 and taller than us (which is such a weird thing to happen, that I'm sure a bunch of you can relate to). He's a freshman at Timpview. Jordan or 'Joey' as we call her is a 7th grader and 5'9" at 12 years old and is all girl. Katelyn is 8 and a Tom Boy just like I was. And then Tyler who is 5 thinks he's in charge of all of us.

So, we've been in Provo this entire time. We love to travel when we can, I love to bake but not cook. (There is a difference.) And because of it , I'm unlike Kim Santiago who still has game. I'm lucky to survive a ward basketball game with a bunch of 'has beens' . Tennis is what I would love to do every day if I could.

I love to see PHS alumni around town. There are a lot of us with kids at Timpview and its fun seeing old friends who's kids are on the same sports team or cheer squad. Matt and Katy (Lindsay) Clark, Steve Suzanne (Segmiller) Clark and Jim and Melissa Kendall we have seen often at games. I see Patrick Lindsay, Brian Santiago, Craig Anderson and Dan Knight every once in a while. I just ran into Sean Walker and Melissa Pincock in Palm Springs at a tennis tournament. Sheryl Hale gets a bunch of us girls together occasionally, that has been fun. I had lunch with Syd Pearson, Kim (Gamette)Lohner, Katy(Linday) Clark and Katie Phillips this year, all are doing great. Kim Lohner's daughter and my daughter have been friends for a couple of years now so we get to see each other often. I would love to see a bunch of you this summer, looking forward to it. ( sounds a little like a yearbook signature, but sincere).

Thank you for your kind words. You sound like you're really having a great time being a "grown up"! :) I know how you feel, my son is 6'4" and will be 18 in July. Shocking to look up to your kids. Yvonne Krolls Lather

Wow, lots of fun memories of you, Kristie. You could hit a 3 from DOWNTOWN, and post up anybody. Not to mention how extraordinarily cool you were. No wonder you've got a son who's taller than you, considering the Tim and Kristie genes. I expect the "cool" genes are also at play.

Kristy,
It was so fun to talk to you at dinner a couple of weeks ago and look at your "scrap book." Your family is beautiful, and you are seriously one of the most photogenic people I have ever seen (oh, you look good too Tim:).

You are so fun to hang out with. I wish I lived closer so we could have more of those dinners.

Take care. Vicki Thompson (O'Brien)

Hey Kristie - It was so great to get together for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at how many of us turned up. And just to reconfirm, yes I forgive you for being rude in high school =D You so were NOT! Hopefully we can have more get togethers like that.

Kristie - We spent a lot of time by each other (due to our alphabeticaly arranged last names). I was kind of a dork and you were and still are a hottie. You were always nice to me and although you didn't know it you helped me make it through chemistry (you wrote very neatly and it was easy to copy). Glad to see everything has turned out so well. Looking forward to seeing you in June.

Kristy,
I'm working on my baking skills. Any favorite recipes you're willing to share. And from the looks of you and your family, I'm certain you still have game!

Kristy,

I always thought you were the coolest girl in all of Oak Hills. I always remember swimming in your indoor pool and blasting Joan Jett sometime around jr. high school. And, I always wished I could play tennis like you -- still do. I remember trying to return a serve of yours once. Of course it was impossible.

Kristi,
I so remember that VW bug as a prop in dance pictures. So fun. It's great to see pictures of your kids. You're amazing.

Hey Kristie-
You did an awesome job with the slide show! I didn't get the chance to talk with you at the reunion but fortunately I get to see you from time to time. Let's catch up sometime soon.
