Where Are They Now? — Laurena (Rail) and James Williams

I have really enjoyed reading about what everyone's been up to since high school but I have to admit I had to pull out the yearbook. I swear the older I get the worse my memory gets :)

Shortly after High School I started dating James Williams. He went on a mission to Halifax, Canada and I did the "waiting" thing. While he was gone I went to Cosmetology (beauty) School. We were engaged 2 months after he got home and married 4 months later. James went to UVSC. After a lot of persistence on my part we moved to Blackfoot, Idaho in 1997 (actually about 10 miles outside of Blackfoot). We feel like we live in "God's Country". Why Blackfoot? It's quiet, slow paced, and we think it's beautiful. It's like living in Benjamin west of Payson. Besides, it's only 3 1/2 hours to see our families that still live in Provo.

James currently works at the Nuclear Site out in the middle of nowhere and I'm a stay at home mom, cutting a little hair here and there. We have 5 kids (yes, we broke the 4 mold). They are Melissa (15), Jessica (13), Amanda (9), Kendra (7), and Dawson (4). Poor boy-huh! It seems that our kids like to see how strong they can make us. Melissa was 9 weeks early and spent time in Newborn ICU. Amanda drowned but James was able to save her. Kendra has had 2 strokes. It's no wonder my nerves are a little rattled.

When life allows me to, I like to drive potato trucks. Who would ever imagine me driving a 10-wheeler!! We like to shoot guns, ride 4-wheelers, camping, and hanging out with family and friends. Life is always busy, especially summers, but hey, what's one more reunion!!

Can't wait to see you all.

What's up??? We were just in your neck of the woods last summer. My wife is from IF and my wife's best friend from high school lives in Blackfoot. Can't wait to talk with you again. Germany was crazy, but it was great to see it before it changed.

Senior sluff night? I'm pleading the fifth on that one. I'm sorry though :( Nope, I don't hear from Vicki Carter. She has decided that we don't need to keep in touch and remain friends. Oh well, what can I do?? Especially since she married one of my good friends from Jersey days. Sigh.

Hey guys!

What a woman you are driving the truck and all!
It sounds like you've had some tense moments with your kids. I hope things are better now.
I have good memories of both of you from high school.
It will be fun to see you again.

Laurena and James I just wanted to thank you sooooo much for working so hard to try and get me to the reunion. You have truly been the best friend anyone could have. I don't know what I've done to deserve such a great friendship. I have not been the best friend thru the years, yet you are always there for me. I love that we can go a year or two without talking and the next phone call takes off where the first left off like we had just saw eachother the day before. I will treasure your friendship forever!! I hope y'all had a wonderful time lastnight at the dinner (I was thinking about you the whole time) and at the picnic today (going on right now). I promise you I WILL see you soon.
