Where Are They Now? — Dan Knight

I graduated from PHS in 1988 without one of those fancy ribbons that the smart kids had around their necks. Craig Anderson did wear one of those ribbons but I know for a fact that he stole it and didn’t come close to earning it.

Since then I went on a mission to Uruguay, went to college, then got married to a girl, then went to another college, then married another girl (I ditched the first one). The 2nd girl’s name is Amy and she’s an Orem Tiger class of ’88. We have 2 boys and 2 girls (ages 8, 6, 3, and almost 2). Craig Anderson and I started an Internet marketing company in 2001 so we still pretty much just hang out every day just like the old days. We don’t cruise chicks as much now mostly because Craig is bald and doesn’t "have it" quite like he used to. Neither of our wives like us to do that anyway.

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Other than Craig I see Jim Kendall from time to time, I see Dyke Roskelly, Nate Trewartha, Scott Miller and Lance Garvin pumping iron at the gym (they are animals), I see Brian Santiago, Brady Whittingham (not an actual PHS grad, but close enough), and when he’s in town Greg Stott. (PS. I have a really funny story about Lance Garvin. If you see me at the reunion remind me to tell you.)

(Incidentally OHS class of ’88 is having their reunion the exact same weekend as ours and my wife is on their organization committee. Lisa Kinghorn Griffiths is married to the former Class of ’88 King of OHS and chairman of their reunion committee, so Lisa and I may ditch our spouses for the weekend so they can do their Tiger crap and we can party like true Bulldogs!)

Hey Dan, I had the ribbon and that's all that anyone needs to know!

Oh I forgot to mention that the person I see at the gym the most is Mark Whiting. He can bench more weight than anyone I have ever seen and he doesn't use performance enhancing drugs. He is also the best excavator in the Western United States.

Hey dan, did I see you at Primary Children's hospital a little more than 3 years ago? I thought it was you but I wasn't positive.

Dan the man...
You've got a great looking family. Why is it that we never cross paths? Perhaps it is because you spend all your time at the gym. Do you remeber the time that I lit that gas can on fire at scout camp and stormin Norman blamed you and then Jim Blair. I stood silently in the background hoping that you or Jim would take the heat for me. :) Good times, good times....

Dan- Strong work keeping the hair on your head!!! Hope you can make it to OUR reunion. Hey if you see Dyke Roskelley sometime, will you give him my email address for me. I think he is in the same field of work as me, and I wanted to talk to him. Your kids are cute... strong work there too!!! Tell your big bro. 'HI' from me. Later Rod Johnson.

Laurena, yes we spend quite a bit of time at PCMC for our 3 year old(going on 4) little girl Lacy. She has Down Syndrome and had open heart surgery 3 years ago. Very scary but she's doing great now.

Morbid Dean,

Yes, I've retold the marvin lighting the gas can on fire at maple dell story many times. In fact, the past 2 years I've had to take our scouts up there and we walk past the same camp site where the "bomb" went off. I think I'm going to hit you hard in the arm as pay back for making Norm mad at me and Jim. thanks for reminding me.

Dan,
Two words, "bowling ball"!

Hey Dan, It was great to hear from you. You guys were a bad influence on me! No wonder I turned out the way I did. We should play some golf soon, something. Your little girl is so cute! She reminds me so much of my little sister Amanda. Anyways give me a shout sometime.

Good picture of your family, Dan. Your wife is much better looking than that Timpview girl anyhow. Nice going. I'm glad to hear your daughter is out of PCMC now, too.
Oh ya, and thanks for the props in your post. I'll just wave next time.

Hi Dan,
You sure have a beautiful new home. I'm jealous! I wish Brian would put that kind of work into our house. Maybe I should pay him!:)
Your family is darling. I really want to get my hands on your little Lacy... she is beautiful.
I think the last time I saw you was when you were hanging out with my little sister, Melissa, at our house in Payson. Now the two of you practically live in the same neighborhood.
I was going through some old boxes the other day and came across some notes that you wrote to me in the
6th grade. You referred to me as "Bo" and signed them as "Dudley"... good times!
I am looking forward to seeing you.

Hey Dan,
I have been trying to remember that day I rated you a 9.... I believe I had been hiding in the bathroom all recess because there was a rumor around the playground that you were going to try to kiss me... when I finallly worked up the nerve to come out, you chased me down, tackled me in the snow and planted a big one right on my lips... scared me to death! Not to mention I got snow in my knickers! Just wanted to let you know that if I could do it all over again... you will always be a 10 in my book!

Maybe he looks like them in the face but......there's a whole lot more to his 6'4" frame.=D I can remember riding my bike up your driveway just for the ride down but all the while hoping that you wouldn't be around. You scared me to death, back then! It's been really cool to think about things that I haven't thought of for 30 years, too! It's so nice to see that you turned out okay =D Your family looks great. The oldest looks just like you, and where did that red hair come from?? See you soon.

I thought I was the only one that wasn't smart enough to get a graduation ribbon. Tell that guy in the office next to you that he needs to send in his update. We need to go get lunch and let Craig pay.
